To provide data and dashboard providers with the information they will require to respond to the Pensions Dashboards: consultation on the draft Pensions Dashboards Regulations 2022, the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) has updated its Data usage guide. This is not the final data standards but should provide data and dashboard providers with sufficient information to respond effectively to the consultation.

The Data usage guide will be of interest to both data and dashboard providers, to help them understand the data requirements to connect to the ecosystem.

It includes the current thinking about relevant data items for both find and view activity, the format of each data item, the meaning of each data item and the permissible values for each data item, where applicable.

PDP will publish a full data standard later, which will contain detailed information on the data elements that will be required for initial dashboards.

The data standard will iterate to incorporate the learnings from PDP’s test phases, as we work with early volunteer data and dashboard providers to refine the onboarding processes and functionality of pensions dashboards.
