Technical connection: Prerequisites

Guidance for pension providers, schemes and integrated service providers (ISPs)

Overview

Purpose of this step

To evidence that you have met the requirements to access the test environment. You need to provide evidence that:

  • your build has passed system testing
  • you have completed your internal IT service acceptance

This guidance explains how to submit this evidence to PDP.

System testing evidence

You need to submit system testing evidence through the connection portal. Read the system test pack for more information on system testing.

PDP requires a 100% pass rate on all test cases to proceed to the next phase of testing.

Who completes this step?

  • test manager (you may need to speak with your service manager to complete this step)

Read the full list of roles and responsibilities.

Before you begin

You need to be familiar with:

You need to:

  • complete system testing using the test harness provided by MaPS or with their own stub consent and authorisation developed in-house
  • collect evidence of the tests performed

What you need to do in this step

  • Upload your system test report evidence.

Upload your system test report

The report consists of 2 elements

1. Which test harness or stub content and authorisation was used to verify the resource server under the test’s interaction with consent and authorisation. This will be either:

  • the test harness provided by MaPS
  • your own stub content and authorisation developed in-house

2. Your evidence for each test case. This will usually take the form of:

  • a screenshot of a Postman request and response
  • ‘and/or’ logs copied from the test harness or stub consent and authorisation

There will be a certain amount of self-assertion, such as when there should be no logs as there should have been no requests to the test harness or stub consent and authorisation.

How to present the system testing evidence

You need to present evidence for each test case in a table format.

You can populate the table with a copy of the relevant text to show the success, unless the test case specifies to attach a screenshot, at the time of the test case results.

You can download a copy of the PDP system testing evidence template document and save as a PDF for submission to PDP. The file submitted can be up to 25MB in size.

Summary

Before you submit your information, carefully review all the attachments you have uploaded.

  • If you have been successful: The primary technical contact will be notified by email to move on to download test crypto.

  • If your submission has been rejected: You will receive an email explaining why you were unsuccessful and what you need to do.

How long will it take?
