About us

What are pensions dashboards?

Pensions dashboards will enable individuals to access their pensions information online, securely and all in one place. Dashboards will provide clear and simple information about an individual’s multiple pension savings, including their State Pension.

Delivering pensions dashboards

PDP is responsible for designing and implementing the central digital architecture that will make pensions dashboards work. We are also developing standards, which will provide the rules and controls that will facilitate the ongoing connection to the pensions dashboards ecosystem.

The Money and Pensions Service is creating a pensions dashboard. There may be other commercial dashboards available too.

Who we work with

PDP, Government, industry and regulators need to work together to make dashboards a success.

Our introduction to delivery partners and programme dependencies video outlines our collaboration on dashboards.

Legislation and regulation

The Government has formalised its intentions to deliver pensions dashboards through the Pension Schemes Act 2021 and The Pensions Dashboards Regulations 2022. This legislation sets out the timeline and the requirement for pension providers and schemes to connect to the pensions dashboards ecosystem. It also empowers the Money and Pensions Service, through PDP, to create standards for dashboards with the approval of the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and The Pensions Regulator (TPR) will support pension providers and schemes to comply with regulations. The provision of pensions dashboards will be an FCA regulated activity. Organisations wishing to become pensions dashboard providers will have to apply for FCA authorisation and adhere to FCA conduct rules.
