PwC qualitative research with pension providers and schemes

We commissioned PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to conduct some qualitative research with pension providers and schemes. The insight presented will help inform the development of data standards for pensions dashboards.

The main aim of the research is to help understand the potential data issues different types of pension providers and schemes may experience when integrating with the pensions dashboards ecosystem:

  • secure digital matching of verified identities to the user’s personal data, to find their pensions information
  • supply of pension entitlement data, so a dashboard user can view information about their pensions.

In addition, the research focus is on understanding large providers’, schemes’ and third-party administrators’ views on:

  • PDP’s initial working papers on data scope and data definitions
  • potential issues related to the quality of information that needs to be sent to the dashboard user.
