At the pensions dashboards programme we are creating the rules that will set out how all organisations in the pensions dashboards ecosystem will connect and interact with it including dashboard providers, pensions providers, and integrated service providers or ISPs. The pensions dashboard standards cover data design reporting technical standards and the code of connection by defining the data's format and meaning.
The data standards will make sure the pension providers and ISPs send the data in a consistent way so a consumer can view their pensions information on a dashboard. Design standards show layouts content elements messaging and user journeys on pensions dashboards helping provide a consistent experience for consumers whichever dashboard they use.
Reporting standards set out the information that pension providers and ISPs and dashboard providers must share to keep the system working effectively and to enable performance reporting and compliance activity. Technical standards define the way ecosystem participants communicate with each other including APIs and user-managed access protocols.
All organisations must comply with the code of connection which requires them to maintain the appropriate level of service and security when connected to the ecosystem. All of the standards ensure pensions dashboards will allow consumers to safely and effectively find their pensions online securely and all in one place.
