Overview
Purpose of this step
Once you have downloaded and deployed your live crypto material (certificates and keys), you can connect to the live environment.

Before you begin
Make sure you have the correct permissions and IT security settings on your device to download ZIP files. You may need to enable popups and downloads from the PDP website. If you are unable to do this then you may need to contact your organisation’s IT service desk.
What you need to do in this step
- Download live crypto material.
- Deploy crypto material to your live endpoints.
- Notify PDP that your live crypto material has been deployed.
- Notify your service manager they can begin operational acceptance testing.

1. Download live crypto material
On the connection portal, go to the ‘Download live crypto material’ page and click 'Download'. This will redirect you to our crypto generation service. Your crypto material (certificates and keys) will be immediately downloaded to your computer as a ZIP file. You will then be redirected back to the connection portal.
If your download does not complete and you a directed to an error page, a ticket will be logged on your behalf. You do not need to do anything else.
If you do not see an error page, you need to report this through support.

2. Deploy crypto material to your live endpoints
You must now deploy your crypto material to your live endpoints. For more information, please read our guidance on PKI crypto. How you deploy your crypto material will be determined by your own architecture.

3. Notify PDP that your live crypto material has been deployed
You will need to notify PDP ([email protected]) that you have deployed your live crypto material.

4. Notify your service manager they can begin operational acceptance testing

Inform your service manager that they can begin operational acceptance testing and transition to live process.
