Reporting standards production monitoring
Overview
This guidance assists directly connecting organisations (DCOs) through the production monitoring phase, within the live environment. The production monitoring phase is required to make sure that DCOs can generate and record operational information and successfully report it to the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).
Back to topProduction monitoring submission
The production monitoring phase will start once you have completed integration testing, your service acceptance has been approved, and your reporting APIs are connected to the live environment. This phase takes 7 days to complete.
During the production monitoring phase, you must submit pension providers and schemes’ operational data, as required in the reporting standards. We will check your submissions regularly throughout the 7-day window.
If there is an active holdername you are not using
During the 7-day production monitoring phase, MaPS will open a support ticket with the title: ‘Reporting standards production monitoring - excluded holdername’ and assign it to you.
If there is an active holdername you are not using, explain the reason for this in the ticket.
MaPS will take this into consideration when assessing the submission.
Back to topReviewing the submission
MaPS will review the submissions to check that you have provided complete submissions over the 7 days, including all the following:
- find service availability
- view service availability
- view requests
- view response times
- value calculations
- values unavailable
MaPS will also check whether the submissions:
- breached any business rules
- included all schemes and holdernames you represent
After MaPS reviews the submission, we will inform you whether you have passed production monitoring.
If you do not pass production monitoring
MaPS will use Jira to inform you that you did not pass production monitoring and explain what you need to address in order to pass.
You must then:
- Stop submitting reporting standards data.
- Correct the issue that was identified.
- Contact MaPS to confirm that you have fixed the problem and are ready to carry out production monitoring again.
- Repeat production monitoring.
