The Government has restated its commitment to delivering pensions dashboards in a written statement.
Under a year to go to pensions dashboards connection deadline
- There are less than 12 months to go until the pensions dashboards connection deadline for pension providers and schemes
- Providers and schemes in scope must have connected by 31 October 2026
- More than 60 million pension records are now connected to the dashboards ecosystem, alongside tens of millions of State Pension records
There are now less than 12 months until the legal deadline for pension providers and schemes to connect to the pensions dashboards ecosystem.
The Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) has reminded providers and schemes in scope of legislation that they are required to have completed connection by 31 October 2026. This includes organisations with 100 or more members which have not otherwise been allowed to defer their connection beyond this date.
The first pension provider completed this process in April of this year. The number of workplace and personal pension records connected is now more than 60 million, alongside tens of millions more State Pension records. This represents three-quarters of the records in scope.
Any pension provider or scheme due to connect that has any queries or needs assistance should get in touch with PDP as soon as possible. Providers and schemes must have regard to the timetable in the Department for Work and Pensions’s connection guidance when deciding when to connect.
The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), which oversees PDP, has begun consumer testing of the dashboard it is developing, which will be the first available for public use.
Chris Curry, PDP's Principal, said:
“Connection of pension providers and schemes is right on course, and we can begin to see the deadline of 31 October 2026 on the horizon. It’s a testament to the dedication of everyone involved that we’ve reached this point. I would urge any provider or scheme still to connect that is looking for help to get in touch with the Pensions Dashboards Programme.”
