Changing your target connection date

If you are a pension provider or scheme planning to connect more than 30 days before or after your ‘connect by’ date in guidance, you can notify PDP and the relevant regulator of a change to your connection plans.

This process applies to providers and schemes who have not yet been added to the connection portal.

If the pension provider or scheme has already been added to the connection portal, the primary business contact (PBC) or scheme admin can request a change to the connection date via the connection portal until 5 working days before the connection date.

If the pension provider or scheme is connected via a third party, this should be done by their connection provider.

Changing your target connection date

All pension providers and schemes in scope for pensions dashboards are expected to connect to the pensions dashboards ecosystem, having had regard to their ‘connect by’ date in guidance from the Department for Work and Pensions.

However, in some cases, it may be necessary for pension providers and schemes to change their connection plans.

If you are a pension provider or scheme planning to connect more than 30 days before or after your ‘connect by’ date in guidance, a new target ‘connect by’ date should be agreed with your third-party connection provider. This is usually your integrated service provider (or ISP) or your third-party administrator.

It is important that you notify PDP and the relevant regulator about your new target ‘connect by’ date, or, your connection provider can do this on your behalf. Here's how this process works.

You, or your connection provider acting on your behalf, fill in a form on the PDP website. You need a Jira account to complete the form. The information you'll need to provide includes your regulator number, your current ‘connect by’ date in guidance, your new 'connect by' target date, and the reason for the change request.

You have to submit one form per pension provider or scheme. To see the full details of this process and the information needed, and to access the form, search ‘change connection plans' on the PDP website.

Once you, or your connection provider, have submitted the form, PDP will confirm receipt and will share the information with the relevant regulator.

You do not need to contact your regulator separately. Your regulator may contact you if they have any questions. You will then agree a new connection date via your connection provider nearer the time.
